Acupuncture
Works by stimulating the body to heal inself and regain harmony. Very fine needles are inserted into specific points. There are hundreds of acupuncture points in the body and each one has its own function. Less can be more, in terms of the number of needles used during a treatment. Only sterile, pre-packaged, disposable needles are used in this clinic.
Cupping
Is a therapy that stimulates the flow of blood and qi to the more superficial layers of our bodies. It promotes circulation therefore reducing stagnation and pain and speeding up the healing process. This treatment may well leave short term marking on the body, as often displayed by movie stars in the media.
Moxibustion
The application of herbal heat to an acupuncture point or a general area of the body. Artemisia Vulgaris. (Common name Mugwort). Different methods of using this herb may be applied. A mild warming method using the herb rolled into a stick, on a needle, over salt or on ginger.
Therapeutic, Remedial and Tui na massage
Is often combined into the acupuncture treatment. A combination of styles may be used depending on your need.
Gua sha
Is stimulation at the surface level of the skin using a round edged tool. This brings release of stagnant blood that has been trapped in the tissues – sha. Assists with the healthy circulation of qi and blood into the tissues.
Acutonics
Sound vibrations stimulate the acupuncture points.

“Ingrid’s warm and friendly personality makes you feel at ease from the moment you walk into her clinic. Being phobic of needles as I once was, Ingrid’s treatments are gentle but effective and are tailored to your individual needs.
I have also, worked alongside Ingrid as a Massage Therapist and highly recommend her to my clients that need acupuncture.”
